Mystery Photo

What is it?
Please leave your answers in the comments section.
The correct answer will be posted on Saturday, April 6, 2013.

This is an unusual subject, and I debated whether to use it as a mystery photo. It seems, however, that most people who enter my contests don’t care what the answer is. They want to make a silly guess and receive their virtual award.

Happy April Fools' Day!

I see ice and water droplets, so I'd venture a branch pasted against your skylight.

It's an abstract depiction of Gumby, composed with brown pipe cleaners (due to a post-St. Patrick's Day shortage of green pipe cleaners at the craft store).

20 Questions starts on Thursday. I'll answer any question about the picture as long as the answer can be yes or no.

Organic material in ice. Like catkins from a tree. Mm, catkins would probably be looser. More thinking to come ... The comment between Debbie's and Ann's was mine. Couldn't see a way to edit without deleting. I also asked about 20 Questions, which I think will be fun ...

The closest guess I can come to is a cat-'o-nine-tails floating in a creek. Bring on the 20 questions, I feel lucky!

I don't know but my cat sure would love to play with it! Removable pieces of foliage that she could leave in a messy trail all over my house? Perfect for her...

Is the dark stuff organic material?

TimInMich: I answered on the 20 Questions post.

I have no idea, but the first thing that popped into my head was a chromosome. I would like to know!
