Little Shop of Horrors


This is what Sunday’s bud looks like a few days later. I particularly like the purple tentacles writhing up the green bumpy part. Won’t somebody please put it in a fantasy or sci-fi novel?

Ha! I love the title. I hope you'll post pictures of that bud all the way through flowering and withering. By the way, what sort of bud is it?

The buds are on a small tree in a neighbor's yard. Maybe after the leaves come out, I'll be able to identify it.
