Sunday

dried flowers from the farmers' market
and a sunny window
The arrangement is reflected in the window.
Japanese lanterns
I think this is a kind of thistle.

Love the light through your lanterns. I'm guessing the flower heads are some kind of allium?

Thanks, Buffy. The purple spheres do look like allium in the picture, but I asked a gardening friend who'd seen them in person, and she says they're globe thistles. The stalks are too woody to be a monocot. http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/perennial/globe-thistle/
