Change of Seasons

This year, we didn't have many bright, sunny days when the leaves were changing, so I couldn't get those lovely yellow, gold and red reflections in the river. The leaves are down now, and we've had our first snow.

Love those golden leaves. And while your snow photo is lovely, the snow out my window is not so welcome!

Thanks, Buffy. The snow seems too early this year.

See last November's posting date. This November's is 10 days earlier. Mother Nature packed early, took a Redeye to Michigan, then voila! There she is. Enjoy! Hope you have an early Spring. I missed your bees and dragonflies, posing for you. I gotta go wake up the sun, now. Finally warming up a little in Florida.

Thanks, Wyman. The snow came to Michigan before we managed to blow the leaves off our yard and out of the gutters. I'm hoping for a few warm, dry days to get those jobs done before winter settles in for real.

Good luck with that! Is warming into the 70s here after a few cold days. Maybe some of our warm weather will float up your way.

It was indeed a yellow autumn, not as much red and orange in the leaves as usual. I mentioned this to my sister in Denver, where their fall colors are basically yellow and green -- aspens and evergreens. So yellow, really.
My big sugar maple usually has a fair bit of orange, but none this year. The silver maple next door usually gets quite red, but not very much this year.

TimInMich: Now that you mention it, this was a yellow year. Our sugar maple had a bit of red/orange, but only leaves that got the most sun.
