Full Moon

Clouds dancing in front of the moon.

I didn't use special night settings on my camera, although I did modify the exposure to maximum brightness. Of course, I used a tripod. I haven't been able to replicate the effect I achieved with my old point-and-shoot camera.

2009 photo looks spooky.

Current set of photos reminds me of my cloud frustrations when trying to view the moon through my small telescope. Although...I confess it's fun when I can see moon craters through the clouds.

I'm impressed. Thank you. Have seen Mars, Mercury, and now the moon online, in the past two days. Who needs a telescope? Best view is online!

Thanks. I've tried to photograph the moon a few times with variable success. In my opinion, the clouds make photographs more interesting, although I can see they'd be frustrating if I was trying to see the moon through a telescope. Perhaps next fall, I'll try a harvest moon.
