Sunday

looking into a poppy

Rosebuds don't stay perfect for long.

The optics on my new camera aren't adequate for this shot. Still, I like the composition. I recharged the battery in my old point-and-shoot (which has a great macro lens) so I'll be ready for the next spider.

Awesome pictures Ann.

The poppy looks like a painting. I'd love to have it hanging in my house! Last week I spied a huge dragon-fly perched on the tree right outside my office window, but by the time I got outside - too late to snap a picture. The birds are lovely, too, but always too quick for me to catch.

Natalie and Kristin: Thank you. Dragonflies tend to perch and are easy to photograph if a camera is handy. Birds are another story.
