The wind was blowing when I photographed these maple seeds, and I had to take many shots before I got one that was in focus. I love the light, and the colors proclaim spring.

Ooh, that's one of your best! Samaras, who would have thought? Interesting color shift in the background. Luckily, it coincides with the vertical edge of a samara.

Tim: I didn't know the word samara, so I looked it up. Wikipedia gave me, "A samara is sometimes called a key and is often referred to as a whirlybird, helicopter, whirligig, polynose, or, in the north of England, a spinning jenny." The color shift is the lawn vs. the trunk. For the samaras in flight, I'm guessing you're not referring to the movie function on my camera ...
