This Year's Amaryllis

Nothing like bright pink blossoms to ward off the gray skies of Michigan winters.

Please drop by again  in a few days. I found a number of interesting ice formations by the Red Cedar River last weekend. As soon as I sort and crop the pictures, I'll put up a couple of posts.

  2. Thanks, Vicky. It's good for me to have a little gardening project or two in the winter.

  3. They are beautiful. Wish I had some of those.

  4. Natalie: I buy at least one bulb every year to chase away the winter blues. (Although in MI, it's probably the winter grays.)

  5. Ooh, I like that pink! I got a red one from an in-law for Christmas, and it just keeps going up and up. The stalk is 24 inches tall and it's just now about to open.

  6. The blooms on the first stalk are almost done. Sometimes they'll shoot up a second stalk. We'll see.
